Root HTC One M8 Stuck at Boot Screen After OTA Update

My phone was rooted and required an OTA update, so I tried to update my phone by reinstalling the stock recovery as per this video:

After updating, the phone got stuck on the error screen. I was able to go back into recovery and go back to the home screen. After some googling, I found this:

So I followed the steps and unrooted my phone and tried again. After the update, my phone won't go past the splash screen. I tried going into recovery and wiping the phone and rebooting, but it never gets past the splash screen.

After going through various forums, I have been told that FUU is the best option, so I followed this guide:

Neither Method 1 nor Method 2 worked because my computer is not detecting my phone properly. I have tried installing and reinstalling HTC Sync Manager many times, but my phone keeps coming up as "Android Phone 1.0" or just "Android Phone" on the "Safely Remove Hardware and Eject Media" icon on the taskbar.

In addition, I am unsure of what FUU/RUU to use, as my phone has a ROGERS CID. Here is more relevant info:

CID-ROGER001
MODELID-1.12.631.17
HBOOT-3.19.0.0000
RADIO-1.25.21331147A1.06G
OpenSDP-v48.2.2-00564-M8974_FO.1211
OS-4.20.631.3
eMMC-boot 2048MB
S-ON

Any ideas on how I bring the phone back? It just won't boot at all.

If you want to properly update your firmware via FUU, you have to get to a stock rooted rom, stock recovery, s-off using Sunshine, apply the SuperCID mod, and then update your firmware. After that, reinstall TWRP and whatever modern rom.

Which FUU would be compatible with my CID?

In addition, it looks like I managed to flash TWRP onto my phone, but it still isn't booting up. It gets hung up after the first splash screen onto a blank black screen. But at least my computer is detecting it.

Completed all the steps, but after the OTA update, the error symbol came up and the phone refused to boot again. Got it to boot to homescreen, though. Still working on it....
