HTC One M8 CM

Guest
I unlocked my HTC One M8 (AT&T) and rooted using TWRP. I tried to install Cyanogenmod, which partially worked. I went to the Cyanogenmod downloads page for the m8 and then downloaded the latest nightly build. I then went to TWRP and tried to flash it. It booted into Cyanogenmod, but my phone is completely unusable. As soon as the phone turns on, I get messages saying all sorts of apps stopped. Both the software buttons and notification bar are gone from the start and I can not get them to appear. I can't navigate my phone due to these issues. I can't power off my phone, as every time I hold the power button down, my phone just reboots into Cyanogenmod. I can reboot into safe mode, but that does not help anything. I am waiting for it to die so I can have it powered off and access the bootloader. Is there anything I can do to get my phone to work again?

Did you do a wipe of cache, data and Dalvik after installing cm?

Hold volume up and power to force a power reset.

After screen goes dark, hold volume down while powering on to get to bootloader.

Enter RECOVERY from HBOOT, follow the on screen prompts.

Make sure that you're running the latest TWRP, not some 2.6 or 2.7 from some useless all in one tool.

Restore your nandroid backup or flash a ROM compatible with your M8.

And maybe funky meant before because you NEVER do a full wipe AFTER a rom install.
