Root Htc One M8s Booting to Fastboot Menu

Hi all rebooted phone the other night and this is all I get now

***LOCKED***
*** Security Warning ***
M8QL_UL PVT SHIP S-ON

Attempted Recovery just went to screen with image of phone with a red triangle with explanation mark in the middle of it with no other info, after 2 mins returned to above screen.

Attempted Factory Reset just went to spinning green circle then returned to above screen

As far as I am aware there has been no CFW. The only change is that I purchased code about 3 months ago to sim unlock so I could use Virgin sim

Please help I really love this phone

Anyone plez, after doing some reading which is hard for me (dyslexia) I think my 1st battle is to achieve S-OFF before I can do anything, is this gonna be possible
