HTC One or Galaxy Note 3?

Hey all.

I cant decide what phone to get the HTC one or the Samsung Galaxy Note 3. They seem pretty close with the Note destinguishing itself with the stylus and the one having the metal enclosure.

Whats better, whats the general feel of both devices? Is HTC coming out with a replacement for the one anytime soon?
 
I'd guess you'll have a few months to wait for the One's replacement (the rumour machine has recently started talking about the "M8" - the One was M7).
 
They aren't pretty close IMO. The HTC One is close to the S4, but the Note is more powerful than both. Plus the screen size difference is pretty big, as well as the device size itself. If I remember correctly, the HTC One is just about the size of the screen on the Note 3.
 
I will be on verizon wireless. Does that change any of your answers? I am currently leaning towards the one because of the reviews I have seen all over the internet, just have to be sure.

I could be wrong but the one max is quite a long ways away and is it going to be available for verizon?
 
The One Max is out on other networks, and there have been leaks of images/pricing for Verizon, but I cannot tell you anything definite about release dates.

Edit: someone in another thread says their friend has ordered one on VZW:

But being on VZW probably means you have longer to wait for the M8 (One successor) than most others would, based on past experience.
 
One consideration to keep in mind is if you want to use a MicroSD card or not. The HTC One can't use one; The Note 3 can. The Note 3 is also considerably larger than the HTC One so another consideration is how you feel about using a big screen device.

The HTC One MAX addresses the MicroSD card issue but has an even larger screen than the Note 3,
 
The HTC one is a great phone. But I'd say get the Note 3. Much bigger display and a better camera. Whether those matter to you is a different matter. :D
