hi I understand what rooting is an what it will do an how it can go wrong I just need help rooting and have some other questions.
I followed step by step instructions an unlocked my HTC one s boot loader
then I used Kingo root to root it an it said root was successful but any apps that you have to have your phone rooted for are telling me my phones not rooted I need help with this part idk how to actually root my phone I guess an I do not fully understand the rom things my objective is performance I want to be able to overclock my phone for web browsing, games, videos, and then I want to make it to where when its not in use its a low power state so the batter last longer and get the latest software I can for my phone.
if anyone can provide me a clear step by step way to do this it would be much appreciated also I would like to add I would like to do this all for free not have to pay for a program to do it for me.
