HTC One S

Anyone getting the HTC One S next week? It's due to be released on 4/25.

HTC One S

Looks like it should be a real nice phone.

$599 retail price announced. No word yet on new/upgrade price.

I will be upgrading my wife's Vibrant to this. Hopefully, loyalty will give me a good deal ;)

Supposedly $199 for new/upgrade...per the engadget review. Given the disapointng performance/quality of my Sensation 4G, I'll pass on the One S.

I ordered 2 from the loyalty department. $65 each. They gave me a sweet deal. Plus, i can use the trade in promo and pick up $150 there.

Lexluthor can you explain how. I love the Customer Loyalty department, but I didn't receive that offer. Plus I'm waiting to see if they actually do the Free Phone Mothers Day Deal like loyalty said they are

The first time I called, I was offered $130 each. In addition, one line currently doesn't have a data plan and the other 2 lines both have the $20 "unlimited" loyalty data plan. The rep offered me a $10/mo discount for adding a data plan to the 3rd line. I could either choose the $20 unlimited or the $10 200M and then get $10 off, effectively making the 200M plan free for 2 years.

I needed to first see the One S in person, so I asked if he could call me back the next morning.

When he called back, I mentioned that the phone was night but that my daughter really wanted an "iphone". T-Mobile REALLY hates that word as I'm sure they bleed customers leaving for the iphone daily. Anyhow, after discussing how to figure out which phone to use with which number, I asked if he could do better, maybe $100 per phone (someone on slickdeals had posted they got that). He said he had to check some numbers and came back and said he could do $130 and buy one get one free. That was even better than I asked for.

So 2 phones for $65 each basically, no rebates, no activation/upgrade charge and $10 recurring data credit for 24 months.

Very happy. But, that's what I expect from T-Mobile and it's why I've been a customer for over 10 years now.

I still can't figure out what's going on in my account though. I only see what appears to be a receipt for 1 phone for $237.08 and then there's a credit balance on my account for $129.80 (he was going to charge retail for the phone and then just issue a credit to the account). I don't know if they've yet to apply the phone charge to my account and not sure where the receipt for the 2nd phone is.

Not worried. I'll wait until I activate the phones and then see what comes up on the site and will just contact them to fix, if necessary.

Good luck!

The pricing work out correctly? I know you were trying to verify

Don't know.

Right now, I have about a $350 credit balance showing on my account (apparently those are the credits provided to offset the $200+tax times 2 retail price to get me to the $65/phone price). I never gave them a credit card, so I assume they'll bill it to my account, but it's obviously not on there yet or I wouldn't have that huge credit balance.

At what point does it typically show up on the account as a debit?

No MicroSD card slot???? Pass!!! I have everything on my SD card and refuse to get a phone with no expandable SD card slot.

I picked it up. I don't need a ton off music/media on my phone, so it has plenty of internal storage. I just stream my music with Google Music.

I mean if you use more than that and don't want to store stuff on dropbox or stream music or whatever, then this isn't the phone for you. It just depends on your usage and needs. For some the lack of sd card and removable battery don't mean a thing, for others it is a major drawback. Just remember that everyone can have their own feelings/opinions about this and still be right.

Hey lex. HELP.
Customer Loyalty is not playing ball with me. Ideas?

Try someone else?

How long have you been a customer? What's your current contract status?

There's an all phones free rumor for Mother's Day, so might want to see if that materializes as well.

Got them down to $200. I still think it's too much. They have to have a sale at some point. Sucks the Mothers Day Sale fell through. Hate waiting, except that the more I wait, the more phones get released

Hopefully everyone saw that T-Mobile will be having a Buy One Get One Free deal this coming weekend. Keep in mind it's for new lines only
