HTC One Series Coming to Virgin Mobile USA?

My hope is it's not just the One V that we get. That phone looks sub-par at best. Especially in comparison to the other One's.

I doubt we will get the X, but maybe we can get the S.

Something that is an obvious upgrade to the Triumph. Then you would have your beginner, intermediate, and high end phones on a no contract company.

Considering they're all gsm phones I highly doubt VM is going to get them. Maybe T-mo, but more than likely AT&T are gonna be the ones to get them.

If one of these phones do come to VM, and looking at some of the specs. The Optimus One^V is probably gonna be tyhe choice as Virgin Mobile doesn't want to catch up (to be honest). 8MP is where my money is at but lacking. The Optimus Black is a GSM phone but when Sprint has released the LG Marquee, it was a CDMA. The network can change. The lowest build phone has 1Ghz single core Snapdragon processor, maybe the same as the triumph. I am not gonna change my Triumph just yet, only thing improved is the Camera from 5MP to 8MP, I just wanted some more. There was no details on the screen so I'm gonna pass this one up.

North America: AT&T, Bell Mobility, Best Buy, C-Spire, Cellcom, Fido, Metro PCS, Bluegrass, OpenMobile, RadioShack, Rogers Communications, T-Mobile USA, Target, TELUS, U.S. Cellular, Virgin Mobile, Virgin Mobile Canada
So looking at the list it does say VM for North America. And the fact that they have VM Canada listed seperatly. And mexico stuff is in the latin america. But another thing is they only have GSM carriers on there. They don't even have Verizon or Sprint on the list which if even one of them were coming to VM you would think one of the major CDMA carriers would be getting them. So I really don't know.

@MRC
The weird thing about the LG Optimus Black and the LG Marquee is it is called the LG Marquee overseas and the Black on GSM US carriers, but when Sprint got a CDMA version they took up the LG Marquee name again. Kinda strange

Even a watered down One S would be huge for VM
This will easily be a no brainer! :D

That is funny indeed, I wanted to get a LG OpBlack when I heard it was coming to VM because of the reported problem but I really wanted the Triumph because of the 1Ghz processing power.

The LGOP has a 1ghz hummingbird processor... Just saying...

the only way i will get it is if i can modify it :D

You most likely could. But HTC phones in general are not nearly as easy as the MT to get everything up and running. Like rooting, S-off, etc., etc., etc.

Ah, but it does not say Virgin Mobile USA specifically, which is a different company than Virgin Mobile. I wouldn't read between the lines too much. Unless VMUSA makes an announcement it is all guesswork anyway.

It would definitely be possible to make a CDMA version and have that in the US, but I wouldn't count on it just from that link.

Always a good move Ziggy :)

lol ikr! :p i get bored with stock stuff. so i make it mine with roms. The entire reason why i dont have anything with ios on it :D

yea i know... its alot more complicated, but look on the bright side. with all the devs out there for htc phones, it will be modded in no time!

Why are they still using capacitive buttons if this is Android 4? Why not just increase the screen size and use the built in keys from Android 4? What a waste. No thanks.

If true I'd say One V would be taken by them.. I would prefer to have the One S .. just because I know VM would charge an arm and a leg for that one.. and even more so for the One X..
I really don't think they will be picking any of these up, though it would be a very nice addition to my collection if they did haha

whatever the case, it definately is apparent that Virgin Mobile is absolutely avoiding adding more High-End phones to their line-up. all the possibly rumored new VMusa phones have been of very low quality.

they are really keen on keeping their line up low to mid range at best. The triumph might be "mid range" to people NOW, but its guts still make it a very high end handset. fast and very capable with the right software. no other phone VM has or might possibly get even comes close to it in specs. i think thats just not fair.

the triumph trumps the original Galaxy S in every way, and that was the flagship high end phone for almost every carrier in 2010. and is very much still considered a high end phone to anyone today.

my only guess would be that they are re-branding the triumph with a new OS and minor spec bumps to continue selling it. (easily within huaweis manufacturing ability to modify the current phone and continue to sell it)

Or that they are avoiding high end handsets all together and we wont see anything with more than a 3.5 inch screen on VMusa any time soon.

I think the Boost Mobile and Virgin Mobile brand need to be killed and combined to form Sprint Pre-paid. This would make it easier for us to get better phones:

1. Sprint Contract Phones would work under Sprint Pre-paid, they would just cost us $600+ off contract, but allow us to upgrade frequently not being tied to a contract.

2. Sprint could bring all possible phone options to the service without having to decide what company is in need of the next phone upgrade to keep it striving.

3. Sprint could focus on advertising the "Sprint" brand and not have to worry about funds for advertising 3 different names under the same ownership.

It is only rational and smart that Sprint combine Boost and VM under the Sprint name, to not only benefit them, but the customers as well.

See but that's too smart of a plan. Doesn't matter that that's how every other company does it. Sprint likes doing it their own way. It would be cool if they did, which would also allow prepaid 4g on sprint like t-mo.

Well that could be a contributing factor as to why Sprint is lagging so far behind, not following a basic, no-brain method like keeping everything under "ONE BRAND". They don't even have 4G yet, something that's been out since early last year. No matter what, once Sprint gets a 4G network set up, their non-contract services will get it as well, that wouldn't be an issue at all. What will be an issue though will be having to set and manage new plan options for two separate brands, set up phone options for those brands, and stay within a competitive price range. The only thing keeping VM alive are their $35 and $45 plans, you can pay around the same price as their most expensive plan somewhere else for 4G data speeds. Most Boost Mobile customers have been with Boost for a long time and pay cheap because of Boost Mobiles "6-month consecutive payment "deal"".

Not only will Sprint have to devote more time and money into managing these two companies in the future, they'll also have to keep competing. I believe sooner or later they will drop the two pre-paid brands and make Sprint pre-paid, but they gotta hurry, the iPhone can't save them forever.

Welcome to 4G from Sprint ? America's favorite 4G network! Just saying. They have had 4g for a while... Granted they don't have nearly as much coverage as everywhere else...

But yea I do agree they really should make it so they have just a post paid and prepaid plan like everywhere else. Whether or not that will actually happen. Who knows.
