Help HTC One V compatible with Class 10 SanDisk card?

DarkEmy

Hello, I'm thinking of buying the HTC One V phone and first of all, I'd like to ask if you think the phone is a good purchase and whether it's worth the money.
Second of all I'm curious if the microSD SanDisk Ultra 32 GB Class 10 card is compatible with this phone, and if anyone is using it with this phone, whether they are satisfied with this card.

Thanks in advance for the response :)

Welcome to Android Forums :hello:

I really like my One V and think it was a great value. About the memory card, Class 10 is just a speed rating and not a physical or logical specification. Short answer is that it will work in the One V. I don't know how fast the card reader on the One V is, but the faster the better.

1)
a) What is the difference between SanDisk Mobile Ultra MicroSDHC and SanDisk Micro SDHC Ultra Card. Can both be used with HTC one V?
b) I understand that the former is class 6 and later is class 10 but if I am buying the memory card for a phone, should I go for SanDisk Mobile Ultra as it says it is for mobile...
c) Will SanDisk Micro SDHC Ultra Card work for mobiles as well. If so why is there 2 different product names?

2) Is the cost of class 10 and class 6 almost same.. In Amazon UK website it seems to be same price (

The One V is the same platform as the Optimus Elite and Triumph. I would say it's a good buy if you're on the $35 plan already. The Elite is a bit cheaper, but has an inferior screen. The One V does come with Sense 4 and ICS out of box, and is HTC after all. I'd do it if I were looking for a nice s3 single core snapdragon on VM. Once custom kernels are available, this phone should be able to do 1.5+ghz easily, and it'd be a decent contender for a single core phone. The S3 snapdragon still has some life left in it. Dual core is pretty glorious though (evo v)

The Triumph has horrible firmware, although it's a lot better with the modified Sharp firmware, although it's stuck at Froyo 2.2.

The One V would be a good buy if the EVO V is out of reach, and you have tolerable Sprint service in your area (with respect to data speeds)

As for what sd card to get, the one v should be able to use a 64gb microsdxc card. I'm not sure how much the class 10 32gb sandisk you're looking at costs, but 64gb microsdxc cards are quite cheap now and pretty worth it if you think you can use the capacity. It won't run at xc speeds, but it is backwards compatible with hc. You just need to reformat as fat32 since exfat is a microsoft proprietary file system and not compatible (royalties etc)

64gb microsdxc cards run around $50-60 iirc. Should be the equiv of a class 6-10 in hc mode.

I can confirm the One V can use a 64GB card. I'm using a Sandisk Mobile Ultra microSDXC I class 6, which gives me 59.46GB of storage

HTC support told me not to go above class 4 because Android misbehaves. I know nothing about Android, but I'm quite techy with PCs, & this just doesnt make any sense to me. Anyway they answered too late & I had already bought a class 6 card by then, & I havent noticed any problems.

If you look on the HTC official accessory web site the list the SanDisc 32GB Ultra Micro SDHC class 10 for the HTC one V so it must be OK for this phone

64gb also works. I have the extreme sdxc 64gb from SanDisk and it works great, all the storage I'll probably need.
