HTC One V - Virgin Mobile USA

The phone is now available on Virgin Mobiles site. You can buy it for $199 and it is only available in black. Think I might go after this than the OE
 
Been checking out a LOT of videos and reviews for this phone. Seems pretty solid from the information I have found. Would love it if someone who gets the VM version of this phone could give us an update on just how much of the 4GB of internal memory is left to us after senseUI and effing VM bloatware.

At 199.99 it is the same as what I bought my optimus V at a long time ago. Seems worth it.
 
Well, looks like Im gonna pick one up. Me and another great dev... I just need to get together another 100....lol
 
Well, the Htc One V has some features the Htc Evo lacks and vice versa. Which phone do all of you recommend for me to buy? I know the Htc Evo is kind of old and stuff, or do any of you know if i should way for a future and better phone?

1 GB is available for the user, the rest is dedicated to the system.
Correct me if I'm wrong.
 
Even if that is the case, 1GB is a pretty good upgrade from the Optimus V's VERY low memory.

Eventually, a slimmed out ROM will fix that issue. I'm not super worried there.

Thank you for the info even if unconfirmed so far.

I bought an Optimus Elite (RadioShack $130) this month, it only launched last month, lol.....and can't justify spending $95 more on the OneV when they're kinda the same phone, just minor differences.

Same processing power both clock in @1ghz in real life.
No replaceable battery and no digital compass (driving navigation issues) on the OneV.
Elite has Near Field Communication (Google Wallet) and Google is giving everyone free $25 for using it.
Does the OneV have Gorilla Glass also?
Reading what people are saying about ICS it isn't all that wonderful, just different animations, uses more battery.

I can still return my Elite and spend the extra money to get a OneV, but it's not worth it. ...and I lose features.
 
Not knowing the One V was coming out I got my wife an OE as an upgrade from an OV. She was pretty happy with it, although the first one was a dud and I had to exchange it. About 3 weeks later my Droid X starts crapping out and I see the One V and picked it up.

Long story short now the wife is pissed and wants me to buy her a One V. :D

If you are trying to decide I would DEFINITELY spend the extra $50 and get a One V. Not only is it a nicer and more powerful phone with a better OS and battery but cell reception is vastly better than the OE. I was browsing internet easily in underground train tunnels, something my Droid X on Verizon's supposedly fantastic network struggled to do.

I'm very happy with mine and will be upgrading the wife soon.
