HTC ONE V wifi problem after root?

Hello, everyone, I just purchased an HTC ONE V. I had a difficult time rooting it and I downloaded a rootchecker from the google play store and it says that I succeeded in getting root access, however, I am unable to use any tethering APP for using the phones network for internet. I keep getting a: "WIFI: Could not set ad-hoc mode of wlan0: Operation not supported on transport endpoint. and then a could not connect to NAT, will retry later /then: running/ then: WIFI: Could not set ssid of wlan0: operation not supported on transport endpoint. then STOPPED UNEXPECTEDLY.

So what is the problem? I don't know how to fix it?!?
 
Thank you so much! I rooted it but I don't know... I think something is wrong. I will look into the link you provided.
 
however, in the meantime could some one please provide some insight into what is happening? I am unable to tether my computer to my phone for internet!
