Help Htc one x camera

At the prescent moment I have the iPhone 4s on a new contract but really would like the htc one x, would you say the camera is better on the htc or just about the same? I am not an apple fan boy but thought about. Giving it a try. And not liking it that much but the camera is good. I want to send the iPhone back but need a good camera for my line of work? Would you recommend the htc over the iPhone ??

I was playing with the HTC One X in an AT&T store the other day. I made a 30 sec clip and xfered it to my DX via Bluetooth. I was testing the autofocus, how it handles light changes, and of course quality. Sorry it's so shaky. It's 1080 mode.

Stills looked good too, I just didn't transfer any or I'd share.

There are better samples in this post, but the post may convince you to wait for the SGS3. :)

Having used both the 4S and One X cameras I think the iPhone has it beat in everyday point and shoot use. I have young kids and am always using my phone for pictures, so this is one of things I look closely at. I still carry my iPhone because of it.

The biggest complaint I have is with action photos or really any movement. Keep in mind I have no photo skills, so I look for the simplest solution. There may be some differing opinions from people that know what they are doing.

The speed that the HTC takes pics blows away the iPhone, in my experience, which is a huge plus for every day use. I can't count how many photos I missed wiht my iPhone because of shutter lag and the time it took to launch the camera (though this was teh 4, not the 4S). THe HTC does both immediately. It's amazing.

I'm happy with it, produces some excellent photos, just the action photos have let it down a bit for me i think, but i really dont take that many

I created an album over on Google+ that contains a range of photos I've taken with my (AT&T) HTC One X's camera. These cover a variety of outdoor/indoor/landscape/close-up/bright/dark situations.

They definitely get scaled down as part of the upload/processing getting to G+, so if anyone wants to see a particular photo in full resolution let me know.
