I bought one of these yesterday,on clearance. I plugged it into the wall charger for 6 hours, then went too turn it on,and it was still as dead as when I plugged it in,sitting at 4%. I then changed chargers, thinking the charger may be faulty(it wasn't),tried charging it while turned on,same thing.

Then I turned it off,and put the wall charger on it again, then finally after about 3 hours,it was charged. What the hell is going on there??

Are these phones plagued with problems? I have already taken the phone back too the store, they are giving me a brand new one, when it arrives in a few days......but if they are going too give me trouble all the time,I will just ask for my money back....

Never had such a problem with my One X :)

I think, your phone had this problem, not the One X in general.
BTW, a full charge takes about three hours.

Ok,must have just been a one off faulty phone, getting a new one tomorrow,so should be ok then.

Sometimes when a phone loses all it's charge, it will take a long time (30 minutes to a few hours is not unheard of) to regain an initial charge, and then will charge normally (about 2-3 hours is normal for a full recharge).

Depending on how long the phone was around since it's factory charge, you could have had this issue.

Example: one time my phone died on me at about midnight and I didn't start to charge it till the next morning. Took about 15 minutes before I would even get the flashing red to indicate charging with a very empty battery.

The phone was a demo model,so would have been charged at some point. I had it on charge for 6 hours, and the battery did not charge at all,I have owned heaps of phones, and that's never happened, especially with a new phone. It's gone back to the store, they shipped in a replacement, but that ended up being damaged on arrival,so I got my money back.

I'm now thinking of getting a LG Nexus 4....

Like you are already saying rich its not a brand new phone as its an ex display phone so you don't know how long the phone was on display for and all that jazz
