htc one x commericals

Why does HTC only market their beats audio and not show off their other specs and lcd screen? Imo, they did to be more creative with their marketing. They did the same theme with the HTC rezound.

Oops, I forgot about that one. I like HTC, I just wish they would really show you what their phones can do, in their commercials.

Yeah like someone is gonna jump from a plane with a phone in his hand that isn't tethered to him or without a case. A real life situation... Not.

From the 2 adverts if I hadn't already got a one x (and think it's great) I would buy the S3. Samsung show their's off much better.

I've only seen 1 commercial about the One X and it only aired a handful of times that I remember. They have a poor marketing campaign compared to Apple and Samsung.

Over here, they hardly mention the Beats stuff, it's all about the camera.

Have you seen the one with the guy taking photos whilst skydiving?

They show that one here in Australia all the time. That's one of the things that swayed me towards getting the One X and giving up my iPhone.

Android OEMs and carriers don't know how to advertise. Verizon is the worst with their droid commercials. You can't even tell what the commercial is about. Just over the top action and affects. Just show the Damn phone and its features so people know that they want that feature.

Apple marketing is great at brainwashing people with features that they make out to be unique to the iPhone.

Haha, very true. Verizon makes terrible commercials in general.

there is that one commercial with the runner and his One X running too far because he's busy enjoying his Beats Audio. it's pretty funny.
but i think HTC should try and get AT&T to push the One X more in terms of advertising, although AT&T heavily invested in ad campaigns for the Lumia 900.

i just dont understand why htc doesnt invest in marketing as much as other companies do like apple and samsung. i hardly see any ads for htc and htc one series phones. the htc one x is clearly an awesome phone and just as good as the galaxy s3 if not better. it's a far better phone in terms of design and build quality. i thought the s3 was a big disappointment - it's a cheap looking ugly phone and clearly did not live up to its hype. yet the s3 has been outselling the superior one x and i attribute to solely to marketing - or lack of - on htc's part. why dont they just shell out the dollars and market their damn products??

and also some of you are right regarding the few ads for the one x: the commercials are really lackluster. they only tout the one x's camera and beats audio. why dont they talk about every spec of the one x?? the design, the lcd display, the processor, etc? it would be great if they can connect the marketing of the one x with an x-men movie. too bad the phone didnt come out with the last x-men movie. that would be great product placement with a blockbuster movie.

htc needs to hire a big international ad agency with great marketing people if they really want to sell some phones and get back into the game with apple and samsung.

my guess to why they don't market all the specs on the One X is because, there are two types of One X out there: the Tegra 3 Quad Core Model and the Snapdragon S4 Dual Core model. and if HTC or AT&T were to heavily push this in marketing it would confuse most consumers who aren't as tech saavy as you or me.
What HTC should be pushing are things the average consumer care about: the camera, the display, the music capabilities, social media features. the One X has enough of that to make it easy to advertise. but they just aren't pushing it enough unfortunately. i blame AT&T for pushing the iPhone and the Lumia 900.

i dont think i buy that explanation because samsung also has a u.s. version and global version of the s3 with different specs and they are marketing the heck out of their phones. why cant htc do the same? i think it could be a cultural issue. taiwanese companies in general just dont invest in marketing the way western companies/japanese/korean companies do. maybe the taiwanese are just frugal or they think their products sell themselves, but that is a mistake. marketing is HUGE. word of mouth is important but just not enough. if nobody sees your products on tv or media, they wont buy your products. they'll be flocking to the companies/products that generate all the buzz and hype whether they deserve it or not. and i dont think the galaxy s3 lives up to the hype.

I should have been more clear, HTC isn't hyping up the Processors because it would confuse most people. Samsung is much better at advertising because they know how to market features, not specs, in a very, Apple-esque way. Which makes their ad campaigns stand out a little more. But I agree there is just enough mind share for HTC devices out there.
