Help HTC ONE X help i think i bricked my phone beyond repair?

for the first time ever i tried installing cyanogen mod on my htc one x today now whenever i turn my phone on it gets stuck at the purple cyanogenmod loading screen.

also when i got to the last few steps when it came to ''fastboot flash boot boot.img'' it kept saying waiting for device so i cancelled it and have been playing around with the cwm recovery on phone for the last 2 hours to no avail

is my phone permanently bricked?

also my laptop wont recognise my phone when i connect it via usb
