For some reason I can talk to people using my speakerphone, but when I use the regular phone they cant hear me. also soundhound wont pic up anything. I was wondering what replacement part do I need to get this fixed? I recently cracked my screen and had it replaced. I think the repair guy messed up my phone because the volume rocker also dosent work he said the flex cable was messed up for the volume rocker.

So my question is where is the mic located? is this the part I should buy "original att htc one x" - Shopping.com

I'm getting the "The item you requested is not available. Similar items are listed below" when clicking the link.

Re the mic location, there's a hole on the bottom right of the handset, that's the mic.

It sounds like the repair has caused more issues than it fixed, sorry :(

If it were me, I'd bite the bullet and give HTC a call, see what they can do. They might charge a premium, but you know they would do it properly.

The phone uses the same mic for speaker phone calls as it does for regular calls and everything else, if it works for one, it should work for the other.

Have you tried a factory reset to rule out the software going nuts?

Hi,
i have the exact same problem. I've had nu htc One x repaired through insurance repair service after the screen was cracked. I got it back today, but people can't hear me when calling, but on speakerphone they do.

I already tried a factory reset because it seems like a software issue, this didnt resolve the issue however. I was wondering if you solved your problem by now, and if so how?

I have exactly the same problem that when I talk on the phone, they can't hear me but when I put them on speaker phone or bluetooth headset they were able to hear me on the same call. It is really weird. I think it is caused by the headset jack stuck in trying to pick up the voice from the wired headset which is not there. Just a theory but would appreciate if someone had found a fix.

Do not get non-HTC repairs to put in a new battery or replace a new screen for the OneX. They will break the warranty seal and HTC will not honor the warranty even when I just got the new phone for less than 3 months! It will cause time (takes a couple of weeks just to get an acknowledgement of receiving the phone) and money but the only way is to send it to HTC for even a minor problem . It is a hustle but there is no other way with a uni-body design that would not allow one to replace a battery without breaking the seal.

Just to go on record, I have exactly the same problem. The screen on my HTC One X has been replaced and now, the mic works fine when I use the speakerphone or when I record a video, but it does not work when I bring the the phone close to my ear. Bluetooth or an earphone with microphone works just fine.
