Help htc one x sms tones

for some reason i cant get my tones to work, the ones that i have made that is . i made the media folder, put in notification, ringtone and alarm in it and put the tones in the relevant folder. but still cant set the tones, any ideas

i have no idea if this will work, but the music player installed on the int'l one x permits creation of ringtones. i created a ringtone for my phone from one of the songs i have there. possibly you could try working from within that app.

Did you put the tones in SD Card\media\ringtones, or just SD Card\ Ringtones?

i created a folder in the sd card called media and made other folders in there to accomadate the tones. but i also have ringdroid which puts the tone into the appropriate folder. i can see them in my list of tones they just will not play
