Help Htc one x

Lurker
I have an HTC one X. I power it down at night. When I turn it on in the morning, the "airplane" mode goes to "on" automatically. When I turn airplane mode to "off", it says it is off, but when I go to "settings" it says "turning off" under airplane mode and I can't get hooked up to mobile data. |The only way I can fix it is to reset, then it is fine. Any help here?

Welcome to the forum blitzflit, hopefully we'll be able to help with your issue :)

Hmm that's strange, so you don't put it into Aeroplane mode yourself before shutting it down?

When you turn the Aeroplane mode off again and you can't get a data connection do you have a phone signal?

Have you tried a Factory Reset? Don't want to suggest it yet as we maybe able to fix the problem but it might be a last resort.

Thanks for the reply. No, I don't put the phone into airplane mode before I power it down. I haven't noticed if I still have a phone signal, but when I boot it up, the first message on the screen is "no signal, emergency calls only". This disappears when the phone finishes "loading". If I hit the "restart" on the "Phone Options" screen that comes up when you hold the start switch for about 3 seconds, the phone restarts and the problem goes away. Is this the same as a "factory reset?"

Thank you

No, factory reset would wipe your apps and data! :)

So do you see the little airplane icon in the notification bar, or does it just not connect until you prod it? It's probably only airplane mode if you see the icon, otherwise some other cause.
