Help HTC People app consumes lot of 3G/WiFi data

I have been watching the "HTC People" app for a while. It seems that it consumes a lot of data - meaning 40 MB in a month from my data plan. Not sure what it is doing. Any pointers?

I believe it's linked with Facebook and maybe twitter.. I may be wrong on that. But if it syncs on a daily basis the data usage will definately begin to accumulate. Are you linking it with you social networks?

Yeah well known bug. If your main contacts are not Google contacts, back them up to sd. If they are, no backup necessary.

Settings, applications, manage applications, contacts storage, clear data

Then restore / resync contacts


Edit, sorry thought you meant /data space. Not mobile data

Only facebook and that to,o for only the contacts on my phone as I don't include fb contacts to my phone.

Try changing the sync frequency and see if it culls the data usage.
