According to this, it's universal...
It will work if you're fully stock. Stock Recovery, ROM, etc...
It will fail if you use a stock ROM that HTC has patched this fix for.
Judging how HTC has been updating software lately, it may or may not work.
It doesn't LOOK like it will brick anything, but as always, use at your own risk.
