HTC Remix Verizon questions??

So, my Rezound is on it's last leg. I'm liking the look and size of the new Remix. My questions, anybody have one of these yet? Impressions? Thought about the M8, but it's too big...not a fan of big phones or it's camera. I'm just an average user, so the Remix should be good. The annoying thing is everything you read says it is available in gold, silver and gunmetal. Yet, Verizon only has it in silver. I REALLY like and want the gunmetal color, but neither Verizon or HTC will tell me when this will be available. Anybody by chance know about this? I know I'll get it in silver, then the next day the gunmetal will be out. My luck. Thanks.
 
I have done a little and I mean little research on this phone. It seems to be and ok phone but No Development yet with it. Its still very new so not sure of what kind of reception it will get. I generally try to stick with devices that will have a good developer community as those devices are much easier to get help with. My last phone was not one of those and I was very limited.

In the end it really depends on how you plan on using the device. If you want a rooted device you may need to keep looking until this one is out a little bit longer.

As far as color I you order it and within the 14 days of purchase they come out with the color you want you could exchange it. Other than that you'll be stuck with the color you order.

Never heard of it and AF doesn't have a specific forum for it, so I guess that almost nobody cares about it or has one(yet). But then HTC are like Samsung and Lenovo, they do so many different phones in their range.

EDIT:
Little bit of Googling tells me it's basically a HTC One "mini", reduced in price, size and spec, like what Samsung does with their flagships, produces "mini" versions. And it's only apparently available from Verizon Wireless in the US, so not likely to be seeing one of them at all, or they may do it here but under a different marque.
 
I picked up my Remix and have had it for 24 hours. When I got it, I was told it was only coming in silver, so that's what I bought.

The reception, call clarity and connectivity are solid so far. The battery life is pretty good too. I took it off the charger at 5:30am and at 2:30pm, after pretty consistent usage, it still had 40% left on it. That's better than my HTC droid Incredible 4G LTE ever had...

As Mike said, it's basically a One M8 Mini but since Verizon can't leave well enough alone, they feel the need to rename it. :rolleyes:

I hear ya. I'm definitely not a big fan of Verizon. But, they are the only carrier in my area that has good coverage. Over priced, no unlimited data, and they want me to pay them $30 to upgrade! Haha! After 15 years they should pay me to stay. Amazing. Might head to a store soon and put my hands on this Remix. See what it's all about.
