HTC Sensation XL help please?

I have just got an HTC Sensation XL and am trying to find a way to import a video film onto the device. Have got an MP4 video to try and have used HTC Sync and also tried manually placing the video into the phone but I can't find it anywhere.

Can anyone give me some advice on how to get a video film onto my phone?
