HTC Sense vs T-Mobile G2 Software on Desire Z

Lurker
I sent my my Desire Z to the HTC warranty and repair centre in Houston after my phone started randomly rebooting whenever there was no reception.

They ended up replacing the motherboard *but* when they sent it back, I noticed they installed the T-Mobile G2 Software instead of the HTC Sense software that's originally on the Desire Z.

So my question is if anybody can give me the pros and cons of keeping the T-Mobile G2 software (which I think is more or less stock android software), vs sending my phone into the repair centre again to get HTC Sense.

I find the T-Mobile software to be a bit faster and responsive than HTC sense. Are there any connectivity or feature issues I should consider? The repair centre did mention that branded T-Mobile G2 phones are less expensive than an unlocked HTC Desire Z.

Specifically, the T-Mobile software I have now is
Android Version: 2.3.4
Build Number: 2.16.531.5 CL159515 release-keys
