HTC Sync Files On Device

So I've come to the conclusion that the difficulties I've had with setting my phone up with HTC Sync is that I accidentally deleted the HTC Sync folder that's actually stored on my device, this is separate from the actual HTC Sync software you place on your PC. Unfortunately, its virtually impossible to find copies of said folder anywhere. So is there anyone out there with an Evo 4G that could please copy the HTC Sync folder that's stored on your device and post 'em on here for me please!

Got rid of HTC Sync when it started to "not work" and use MyPhoneExplorer instead. However, I'm not too sure what you're on about. Re-installing HTC Sync will install onto your PC all the files needed to communicate with your phone.

However, if you're talking about a folder that contains some phone-specific data (contacts etc) which has been deleted then no-one else can help you and you need to look at your backup strategy.

There are HTC Sync files on the phone by default that are used to communicate with the PC software.

And you're wrong, it would be as simple as for someone to mount their phone, browse the drive folder, copy the folder that says HTC Sync, and bam, post it.

I had deleted that folder because I had been instructed to do so in the rooting process, or so I thought.

I am wrong 'cos I misunderstood what you were after. Thought you meant a folder on the PC .... doh!

Anyhow, any idea what the actual folder is? But from memory doesn't the process of connecting to the computer ask you to install an htc sync update? Could be wrong mind .... If not I'd ask over at xda for the htc-sync apk file.
