Help HTC Sync issues- download it but phone can't find it

Hi all.

I downloaded HTC sync, first via the web and then directly from the SD card. Both times it installed correctly and I restarted my computer afterward. Both times, when I attempted to sync my phone via USB, it said I didn't have HTC Sync installed on my computer. What gives?

HTC Sync is pretty temperamental unforunately. There are alternative apps you might want to try: FJ Software Development is quite a popular choice.
