Wondered if anyone can help. I have been trying to install HTC Sync Manager on my 64bit Windows 7 Dell. I previously had HTC Sync installed. Removed this as instructed and tried to load HTC Sync Manager 1.1.83.0 from HTC website. The installation keeps failing with a message which says
"The files for installation requirement CheckAndRemoveOldHtcDriver could not be found. The installation will now stop. This is probably due to a failed or cancelled download"
Having googled this message most answers seem to be to remove all HTC files, download HTC Sync Manager, at the point where it fails download HTC Sync, then continue downloading HTC Sync manager. This seems to work for others but not those with the message as listed above. I have tried rebooting at various points and also with antivirus switched off. I have tried contacting HTC who have not been able to help. (they said they would dial in to my computer- I stayed in all afternoon but they never got back to me.) There are some similar threads elsewhere on this forum but none seem to answer this particular problem.
Can anybody help me please?
