HTC to shutdown contacts, messages, etc

Was reading this on Yahoo news.

Anything we need to be worrying about?

Moments ago, I received an email from HTC customer service warning me that HTCSense.com will be shutting down most of its cloud functionality. On May 1, all backed up Contacts, Messages, Footprints, and Call Histories will be purged from the company

I hate it how so many companies basically force you to use their (useless) services... and then they soon shut them down because they are not worldwide success.

Its a duplicate of Google services. Why compete, when you really cant?

If you use Google cloud services, you have nothing to worry about. If you created an HTC Sense account (and sync to it via your phone), go to htcsense.com and download all your data.

I imagine this does not apply to most people. I can't even remember my password to htcsense.com, so I must not have anything to worry about
