got a new update for htc one x tonight and came with a power saver function any idea what it does and is it worth keeping it turned on all the time or will it stop apps? my battery seens to dies in a few hours have every thing turned off wifi location settings etc any tips or what about this new power saving thing? no settings for it do ?

hi again checked batteru thing and no sign of it im from ireland and on o2 network like will factory reset delete all updates??? i have blue tooth wifi location settings all off deleted that weather app and installed advanced task killer might get that juice defender today ment to be good gonna see how the phone goes today on power saver any idea if its any good ?

A Factory reset just wipes the data & cache partitions, so basically, anything you've put on there. The software will still be JellyBean and anything on the SD Card will remain untouched. :)

I'd also let the phone handle task/power management. Try uninstalling Advanced Task Killer (it actually does more harm than good) and Juice Defender, you might find battery life improves a little.

My phone now lasts a lot longer - still 40% left last night before I went to bed - it's usually below 20%

As above, just use the built-in power saver

hi again will i just delete the advanced task killer so and use the power saver??? just so many good reviews for task killed taught it was good for the phone ? charged phone all nighjt and just at quarter way gone down now any advice???

and any thing or any app to hep my phone and battery dont think i got the new software fot android in ireland jelly bean like just getting software updates like ?? how about juice defender? and do u def advise to delete advanced task killer ?

Anything past probably android 2.3 doesn't really need a task killer as android got much better at handling it's own memory, so you don't need a task killer

I'm not sure about Juice Defender being bad, I just don't think it's really needed.

In saying that, it had a negative impact on my battery life, although others claim it does what it says on the tin.

There's no harm in uninstalling, see if it makes a difference.
