Htc Wildfire Or Desire

Hi all, I am at a dilemma to buy a phone.
I am planning to buy either a Htc Wildfire (brand new) or Htc Desire (6months old).

Wildfire will cost me $440, while desire will cost me $480.

I do alot of surfing and sms.
Which one should i choose?

Please advise.

The Desire, easily. It's about twice as good as the Wildfire but, obviously, doesn't cost anywhere near twice as much.
 
Me and the other half both have the Desire, its got twice the speed cpu of the wildfire if i remember correctly.
 
The Wildfire and Desire can't even be compared.

While the Wildfire is a budget phone (low-end)
The Desire is way up there in high-end.

The Desire defines an Android phone. Android phones are meant to be high-end phones. Not budget phones.
