Help HTC wildfire S syncing with MAC???

I stupidly believed the manager of my local cell phone retailer when they said I could use a HTC Wildfire S with a Macintosh computer. Of course as soon as I found out they were PC only I went back to the store and the manager denied ever having the conversation. Vodaphone have fobbed me off telling me to look up hacking websites, hence the reason I'm on this forum.

I'm pretty dim with computers so unless I can make a simple fix I will end up selling this phone.

If anyone can help I'd appreciate it, this is my first post I hope not to have to do many more.
