Help HTC Wildfire sd card unmounted unexpectedly and then froze

Hi,
I got a notification sd card unmounted notification my sd card unmounted unexpectedly. The phone was at rest position without any movement. Then I rebooted my phone but then it hunged up on reboot. On second attempt it rebooted but then when i went to save an alarm it froze again. Then removed the battery again and rebooted again. Now is working fine.

Is this a sysmptom of something wrong with the phone or SD card or is an indication for any other incoming problem.

I had the same problem after updating to froyo a few weeks ago the only way I could get it working again was to remove the sd card from the phone and put it into a card reader then defrag the card via my computer it’s working again but every now and then the weather wigit goes missing and I have to reinstall it.
