htc wildfire

please anytime i try to access the personalization setting on my htc wildfire, there is this window pop up that reads "the application settings (process com.android.settings) has stopped unexpectedly.please try again"
any help?

Hi. My first recommendation Inc this kind of case would be to do a factory reset. This basically refresh your operating system so it's like brand new. A good fix for each random unexplained errors. This would delete your data and apps, so back them up first.

Hello and welcome aboard.

Normally this is caused by an installed application...finding the app and uninstall it should get rid of that pop up notification. Also, as suggested by ral, performing a reset is another way of fixing this problem.
