Help Htc X One voice control does not work

This feature worked perfectly on my XE
But on my one x it never dials anyone from my address book
When I text it doesnt put a contact but spells out name in body of text.

I recently saw a video showing an android phone with similar features as siri eg .. asking how tall micheal Jordan is ...and it worked perfectly

Is it actually meant to work
While I'm here it actually also has issue of deleting wrong text when I put marker at start of text I want to delete and press back .. deletes a completely random letter .. even after 2 software updates

Would be great if anyone can help

i can only speak for a stock, int'l one x. voice control for dialing and texting seems to work best if you use the mike icon with the google search widget. if you are calling/texting someone in your contact list, it seems to do pretty well finding the person. when texting, don't hesitate if you can help it. for example, say "text to john smith. hi john comma going to be late period had to stop for gas period" if you pause too long, the message will be truncated or garbled.

within the phone app itself, voice control drives me nuts. it doesn't find my contact and instead gives me a list of choices that may vary from an idiot variant of the name i spoke to a search internet option, etc. pretty useless.

there are a couple of apps in the play story that are somewhat siri like, but i decided i did not want to have a conversation with my phone. people seem to be using vlingo and speaktoit.

can't help on the delete issue. works on my one x without a hitch.

Try assistant from Google play. Works like a charm.

I have the same problem. I am Stock with the upgrade from a month ago. Each time I try to text by voice, it puts the person's name in the message. It has never put the person's name in the to field. I tried assistant but that failed too. Very disappointed. I. Have tied over 50 tomes with different names too. I speak good English...
