HTC_IME Keybooard for 2.3

Is there a version of HTC_IME keyboard that works on 2.3?

I previously had it on my X8 running 2.1, i've tried a couple of installers but can't get it to work, it force closes everytime i try to select it to use. This is probably down to it being an incompatible version of HTC_IME.

I'm sorry if this has been asked loads before, the search function returns too many results to sift thru.

I tried for weeks to find one and while I did find a ton that said they would work on 2.3, none of them ever did. So I decided there must not be one. But if someone has one, that will be great. In the meantime you might try SwiftKey. That's the only keyboard I've found worth replacing HTCs with. It's amazing.

thanks, will check it out, im not really fussed if i find the HTC IME one, as long as i can find a decent keypad style on (numbers 0-9) with predictive text.

There is one that's been around for a while that works fine at least for my Hero running 2.3.

Choose high or low res depending on what phone you have.

Gimpsta requires you to make a logon and password, but it takes 2 seconds. Theme your own and download it, or download one someone else made.

mate you are a legend, they work perfectly if i select a hi-res froyo option

many many MANY thanks!
 
Any news about this? I used the HTC_IME_HI modified by jonasl for the nordic languages and the SGS2 keboard is really bad in comparison.
 
The gimpsta themed one worked fine for me on my sgs2. Shouldn't have a problem if you choose the high res froyo one as stated above.
