Huawei Activa 4G LTE

I believe Metro jacked up the price of both the Attain and Esteem to push people to buy the Connect.

That's the only explanation that makes sense.

Also I was curious how this device compares to the Optimus M. That is the device I currently possess. It is dreadfully slow, as I am not in an area that has a good "3g" coverage.

I am asking because I can't yet afford to upgrade to an Esteem or Connect, but I am so tired of my current phone that I was considering buying the Activa to tide me over for a while.

I would like your opinions-would you choose the Activa, or a stock, non rooted Optimus M?

Stick with the optimus lol ... the Activa is slow as dirt , the camera is HORRIBLE ... and the device is just junk

I would like to know if this is your opinion based on seeing the specs and news releases or if you have actually owned it and had problems. I am considering it for my wife. She is ready to move to Android and we are trying to decide which one to get. She does not want a phone costing more than $200. She also does not care to much about having hundreds of apps installed or it being a speed deamon, so this phone could work. Plus, she will not be a heavy data user and is fine with a non-4G phone. With this she could go with the $40 plan and save $10/mo. compared to 2G/3G phones.

One last thing. Can the arguments over what is the flagship phone stop on this thread since it has less than nothing to do with the original topic?

Pretty sure it did stop about a week ago, you are late to the party ;)

Anyways, I did play with this phone at metro, and I will say I do not think you should buy this for your wife. It took bad photos, scrolling was lagged, as well as opening some apps. It feels really cheap, and it doesn't look all that great either. I had bought my own wife a huawei ascend when it came out, it was a bad experience for her. This phone gives me flashbacks. I'd steer clear of this company.

There are better options close to the same price point.

I was planning on getting the Activat to tide me over until I could get the Connect.

Today I found out it's not $150 out the door, it's 200 and you receive the $50 rebate "in 2-3 months".

I may as well just pay the extra $50 and get the Connect now.
