Huawei Ascend

First Android forum that I've found that has a section dedicated to the Huawei Ascend. Looking forward to learning from the members here. Been researching about rooting the past week.

A friend of mine has the Ascend. I think it's a really cool phone and i'm considering getting one. What features do you like best about it?

It is my first Android phone through Cricket Wireless. My wife has a Samsung Epic but I wasn't interested in being locked into a two year contract. Plus, Sprint forgot to add her company discount. We finally got them to apply it but they made her restart her contract from that point. Typical of contract companies.

Cricket has 3G so it runs at decent speed for a phone that can be purchased for just over $100. It seems to be as fast as the WiFi in our home.

The display is large for the price of the phone.
