Root Huawei Fusion 2 Source Anyone?

Hi. I'm looking for the source code to the Huawei fusion 2. Representatives at Huawei say "I don't know anything about that" or, "I don't have access to that information."

I need this source code so I can port ubuntu-touch to my device, and make the necessary changes to the source, before attempting to implement ubuntu-touch.

Have you tried checking at XDA forums? That's where the ROM devs usually hang out. The guys who make custom ROMs for your phone may have it.

Yes, I looked, and I could not find the source on their site, I posted the same question on their site earlier.

Downloading android source from google, but taking quite a while, and I don't think they have it, unless it's under "Generic"

Chinese mega corporation......good luck. Presumably you want the source code under the terms of the GPL....yeh....good luck!

Have you been dealing with Huawei directly in China, or just a regional office in some other country? To actually speak to someone who would know about product source code, would probably be in R&D.
 
I tried calling the china number, they were unavailable. I called the regional office in the united states, they have no idea what I'm speaking of. I filed a GPL violation, and am waiting on it to go through.
 
Most manufacturers post their source on their website. Unfortunately, if they don't do that, its going to be very hard to get them to be GPL compliant.

You're only real choices are the avenues you're currently pursuing. File a GPL complaint and keep asking the company for souce

If you tried calling them in China last week they might not have been available because it was a national holiday(National Day of the PRC). BTW how's your Mandarin?
