Help Huawei G300/U8815 firmware update failure

Today I have received a notification that there is a OTA firmware update for my handset. I get the following message when I boot ino system recovery and execute the update:

I need help with this as I dont see what i am doing wrong.

Format SD card - try again...without any info on it.

N.B. - If this is a OTA update.

I've had the same problem. I unmounted and removed the SD card and tried again but had the same failure again.

Have you rooted your phone hookey17? I have and I uninstalled all the Vodafone bloatware. Perhaps that has something to do with it?

I think it may be a problem if you've done something to change the built in vodafone stuff... the update checks if these exist as part of a sanity check before it will install.
