Help Huawei mate p20 pro stuck on restarting loop

Hi

My huawei mate p20 pro is stuck on the 'huawei' startup screen - keeps constantly restarting over and over until the phone runs out of battry.
So far i have tried...

on the EMUI screen-
Factory reset
clearing the cache
restarting
power off
starting in safe mode
update and recover

also put the phone into reboot mode and tried to connect to hisuite buut my computer wont connect to my phone in this current state so cant do that


none of these have worked. whenever i finish a reset/update the phone just keeps trying to restart over and over again.
Is there anything else i can try?
Had no prior problems before this so im clueless!

You could download the firmware for your device and use a USB otg to transfer the needed files to and then boot into the necessary mode and reflash the device.
