Help huawei only charges

my Huawei y550 will not connect to computer it only charges. have downloaded different drivers but nothing. tried different cords and usb and different computer but nothing. what else can I do please?

When you connect it, unlock the phone. Then pull down the notification bar, it will say charging. Tap that and change connectipn mode to MTP.

yes phone is unlock. There is nothing to tap in the notification bar to say the phone is charging, just a green light
