Which would be better in terms of what?

Imho the Huawei wins in terms of processor (quad-core vs dual), HSPDA+ (21.6Mbps) capability, expandable microSD storage, a stonking 5MP secondary (front-facing) camera and a standard 3.5mm earphone socket. It's also extremely nice to hold and use.

I've no first-hand experience of the Alcatel, but apart from twice the internal storage (16MB vs 8MB, but note 1GB vs 2GB RAM) nothing else stands out as superior.
