Hello everybody, i just got the Huawei P8 Lite and it came with Android 5.0.1 version ALE-L21C432B170, first i read on the internet that this phone is upgreadable to android 6.0 and i ran the update center in my phone and there were no updates, so i tried update from internet manualy first to b188 and first time i tried the message on screen said that was sucesfull update, but nothing changes in my phone in my options is still sam firmeware, second time i tried manualy update it failed, now i am worried about my warranty, after that i stoped doing anything, phone is working normaly, is my phone now rooted or somethning like that ? Is there official update to 6.0 android update ? In options firmware is same as i bought it ? Did i made some damage to mine phone ? After this can i update later phone normaly via update center ?

Depends on what you did to actually update via the internet. Also if the sources of the firmware you downloaded were not trustworthy, you may now have spies on your phone. I am not sure if it's the same on Lenovo, but manually flashing firmware does count against the phone's flash counter. So if the shop checks that, you're out of warranty.

You can download root checker to see if you are rooted.

And depending on how Huawei implemented security, yes you may have lost the ability to update via the update center.

My phone is not rooted, i download the root checker, my phone did not change anything when i updated it via computer, i downloaded the update from huaweisoftware.com, how can i investigate spy software on my phone ? Is there any way to see can i update my phone in future ? Sorry for my bad english and thank you very much for your answer.

Your best to go over to the XDA forums. I know your can manually update P8 and P9 purely by dumping the update file on your phone and picking that option from the update screen.

There are official betas out the, but require certain versions to be installed first.

My wife has the standard P8 and I've been watching a few Marshmallow posts with interest, not done it myself yet as her phone is too new, so waiting for the OTA.

this is the way i updated it, current version is b170 and i tried to update to b188 and it said successful update, but nothing has changed, is this the official huawei versions ? So this is not dangerous to my phone ? Thanks for your reply :)

I would say that your safe. Best thing to do is read through the post or posts fully to see if anyone has the same issue to find a solution. Then post for some help, fully explaining what you did.
