Root Huge issues after rooting and flashing..

Hey all, I'm new to this forum. I just got the dx around a week ago. I was looking for free tethering, and then discovered rooting. I rooted my stock froyo x with z4root, and then made a titanium backup. I then flashed liberty 1.0, and thats where my problems began.

I then restored using titanium, and I was missing all my apps, and contacts. I regained a few after 2 or so reboots. I then flashed the newest version of apex, after seeing this post.

I did all of that, and nothing changed. So then, I found this thread,(the same thread I followed to root my dx), and then proceeded to flash "the gift" sbf to return to stock froyo. I booted into bootloader, and then used RSD lite to flash back to 2.2.

Then, it finished, but I got an error screen (attached picture). It reads:
bootloader
30.04
err: a5, 70,70,00,00
mem_map lank
service req'd
battery ok
ok to program
connect USb
data cable
I get this error image whenever I boot up, and I'm contemplating returning it to the Verizon store, and complaining that I had this issue.

Picture is hidden due to huge size, sorry about that!

Is there anything I can do at this point, or is the phone completely bricked?

What version were you running before you flashed "thegift" which I think is the old sbf file. I see you are on bootloader 30.04 and am afraid maybe you used the wrong SBF. If so not sure how to fix that. There is a new SBF but not sure you'll be able to flash it.

Actually this is not going to work .... then do this

google

Droid X SBF 320 and SBF 340

download both and install them using RSD Lite...

320 first and then 340 ... if that does not work let me know... I will be around...

Ah, thank you so much! It worked! I just have one more question.. Can I z4root and install Apex again on 2.3.340?

you can save some time and not to flash 340 sbf if you plan install ApeX. ApeX itself will update your system to 340
