Hulu plus on evo now

netflix vs hulu

which would be better?

hulu has commericals.. but newer tv shows.

netflix has bigger selection?

It works very well. I can officially retire my ipod touch now. I used to carry it around because of hulu and netflix but now...

I have PlayOn so I can get Hulu on my gaming systems (PS3/Xbox 360/Wii).

What does Hulu Plus have that you can't get on regular Hulu?

I think hulu plus has more of the same shows, just more episodes and stuff.

It's insane that you still have commercials and you're paying for it though, but I guess that goes for cable too....

Hulu plus has fewer shows than regular hulu but it has a lot of them. Netflix is more for movies or past seasons and hulu is for current season tv shows. The 2 compliment each other very well.

From dailytech:
Two days ago, Netflix announced that it would change its pricing and plans associated with its DVD rental and video streaming services. These changes include separating DVD rental from video streaming entirely, charging $7.99 for one or the other. For both, the cost is $15.98 (the current price for one DVD out at a time and unlimited video streaming is $9.99).

Lots of unhappy people...

Im one of them

No thank you to a paid subscription service that still makes you view commercials. Isn't the purpose of showing commercials is to make money for the television network? If advertisers are paying HULU to run commercials, then why does HULU still need to charge me money per month to view it? Sounds like double-dipping to me.

I looked in the Market and didn't see any Hulu.com apps, but did see the Hulu Plus.com

I guess would like to find out how to run the Free Hulu on the EVO 4G? Do you use the browser? or Firefox?

Thanks in advance...

You have to be rooted to run the Hulu.com (free) version.

Ok thanks for the quick reply. Just got my EVO so not comfortable with rooting just yet. Will here sooner or later.

Again thanks...

No problem.

If you just got your EVO,it's probably got 2.3.3 gingerbread on it and you can't root yet anyways.

I am sure it is as soon as I turned it on, it asked me if I wanted to update the System. Not for sure how to check the version number, but will check and see. Yep it is 2.3.3

Root should be coming soon. Once it is, Android Forums will definitely have the information.

Just tried Hulu + (on evo) and it's nice. It's not my account, so its even better. Now, I just need a more reliable internet connection...
