Help Huwei U8650 SD Card?

Recently i've bought a Huawei U8650 phone and i'm having trouble deciding on which SD card to get for it.

From what i've heard from various people, getting a SD card that has too much memory could actually harm your phone than do it well, currently i have a 1gb SD card inserted from my old generation phone.

Which micro SD card should i consider for this phone that would be actually safe to use to its full lengths?

Most Android phones nowadays can support any SD card up to 32 or 64 gigabytes. It looks like yours can accept up to 32. I suggest Newegg. They often have very good prices.

So then it would be safe to use a 32gb (max supported) SD card without it having a negative effect on the device in the long run?
