I came from the motorola triumph , let me tell u that phone was terrible bad radio antenna,
GPS sucked, slow download speed anyway according to my calculations this phone has faster download speeds,
Radio antenna is way better than the M.T...the GPS antenna is way faster to find a GPS satellite, in my triumph it took for ever to find a GPS satellite..I have very good signal here at home (Los Angeles) 4g I get full speed I sometimes think is even faster than my WiFi at home..I was going to root it but I don't think is worth it..anyway I highly recommend this evo v 4g.

I agree totally.. The phone has been a champ for me as well. The 4G for me has been super fast and stable as well... Right on

I too came from the Triumph, 6 of them to be exact. lol However regarding root, while I rooted the Triumph within 15 minutes this phone took me a whole day before I jumped in. Root can only make a phone better, whether it's a pos or great out of the box. Just my $. 02

Rooting this phone is well worth it. There are already some awesome ROMs out there. Don't be scared, the instructions are way more complicated looking than the process actually is.
