Root I actually did it...lol

I'm usually not very good at things that have to do with rooting, and other phone stuff like that. But I successfully rooted my Evo V last night and am now running the Mobster rom, which I love.

My question is, what are your favorite ROMS? I see a lot of Sense 3.6 or 4.0 roms but not alot of vanilla ones. What are the best vanilla roms for this phone?

Will any Evo 3D CDMA rom work for our phones?

Good job! Did you also do S-OFF as well? I've been running Midnight ROM.

Nah, haven't done S-off yet because I'm too lazy for the wire trick lol. I've been using 4EXT. What exactly are the benefits of being S-off?

I did download the Midnight ROM but haven't flashed to it to try it out yet. I'm about to move to the MIUI ROM which looks awesome, i'm just sad it doesn't support MMS right now.

Best reason is going the terrible pri and radio software htc put in, plus aosp roms!

Running midnight rom, and @op give me the rom I might be able to get mms working, got it working for midnights older rom I modded it for myself
