I am a newbie Android user

[Colleendnorris]

Had Blackberry for years now upgraded to HTC One x+.
Learning about my new phone... so on Blackberry I could have specific text notifications for bbm or texting from specific people..doesn't my htc do this also???? I have set ringtones for people but do not see option for text notification on peoples' profiles???
And how can I use emoticons while texting??

Hi Colleendnorris, welcome to AF!

Stock it's not possible using Lightflow, you can set specific notifications for each contact apparently.

Re. the emoticons, these are how they work: http://nilvec.com/the-ultimate-android-smiley-list.html

Hope that helps!
