Root I am completely lost (Issue with rooting)

A couple of weeks ago I had bought a Samsung Exhibit II 4G (T679) from T-Mobile. I was excited because it was my first smart phone (yes, I know, a little late haha). Anyways, me being me, I wanted to do all I could to get the most potential out of it. I looked into rooting the phone (apparently not enough; a little over excited I guess haha). I successfully rooted with zerg and it worked great for a couple of weeks. I noticed my RAM was running very low with some applications running so I decided to reset to factor default settings. Now I'm starting to get the "com.android.phone stopped working" error and I can't do anything data related (internet, market, etc.) unless I'm connected to WiFi. I can still call and text, but that's it. Of course, me being a noob, I didn't back up my phone before I wiped it (I'm guessing that's the issue?). Anyways, I'm thinking that I need to flash a stock ROM on my phone, but 1.) I don't even know if that's what I need to do and 2.) I have no idea where to get one. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I barely had enough money to get this phone to begin with (previous one died and this was the cheapest). And I don't want to have to dish out more money for another.
