I am thinking on Rooting. Help?

Well I have had my crappy Samsung Intercept for almost a year now. I am sick of it quite frankly. It always over heats, freezes, etc. I've been watching people on youtube customizing their android devices and I was just wondering if anyone can teach me about rooting and help me find an easy one click root for my VM Samsung Intercept. I am running Android 2.2.2

Also I am a complete noob so bare w/ me plz. I know nothing about roms or rooting. I just wanna customize my phone and wifi tether would be nice.

Intercept root is all you need my friend.. Trust me... That is the only thing that works as of I know.
