I Bought a 2014 Kawasaki Ninja ZX6R(636)!

I bought my next bike today. A 2014 White & Black 636. It gets delivered on Thursday so I'll have pictures added soon. However, here's a picture of the bike but not the exact one I bought but just to give you guys an idea.

Now, the 2013 model came with WHITE lower fairings which looked like this.

I like the white lower fairings over the black so I'm probably going to order the white ones, swap them out, and sell the black ones, and break even or at least get darn close.

Anyway, I'm SUPER excited, and I can't wait until Spring when I can take her out for a spin. I'll post official pictures either Thursday evening, or Friday.
 
Man i miss my riding days, your making me want to get another bike .... i had a Ninja ZX6 and Yamaha YZF600....... i miss my bikes :bike:

Nice! Yeah sorry, I knew the feeling. A truck cut me off on my Ninja 300, and put me in the hospital, nothing major, just stitches but totaled the bike but Progressive totaled it out for me since I had total loss coverage on the bike, but that happened 10/4/13, and I still had like 3 weeks of riding left and I was so bummed out. I'm not even sure how I went this long without a bike. Thank god for GTA V during that time which is played out by now of course but I kept myself busy I guess. Honestly, why shouldn't you get another bike? Bikes are fun, and you have good experience so go for it!

I got a decent deal on the 636. OTD for $12,600. I put 2k down, and financed the $10,600 @ 2.54% which is a OUTSTANDING rate. The only other thing besides the lower fairings is this isn't a ABS model, and I wouldn't of minded a ABS model as I learned on a non ABS model, and would of liked to see how ABS is on a bike but I guess deep down, it isn't really NEEDED. Just WANTED.
 
So they delivered the bike to your home? Did you buy it locally? I always assumed people buy a bike like a car and drive it home or tow it.

Nice blke by the way...I wish I had learned to drive one.

Yes, I bought it about 20-25 minutes away at a local Kawasaki dealer. Yes, people do ride them off the lot like a car, but considering it's February, and I'm in NY, it's still Winter here, and I would never risk riding it home with the current road conditions. Now she's safe and sound in the living room, won't get weathered, and won't get stolen :D

I received my free Battery Tender Kit today so I installed the harness to the battery so I could plug her into the wall.

This first pic was after I removed some fairings, and both seats.

This next picture is of the harness connected, and fed up through to the tail section.

This last picture is of everything put back together. The rear seat is still off, and she's plugged in and charging. The charger will stop when it's full, and the charger will click back on once it senses the charge dropped back down. This battery tender won't over charge it as it knows when to turn on and off.

Nahh it wont over charge it will kick on and off . they have a chip that tells it when its full shut down for cooling when the charge fall short it kicks on as a hot wire . the same with a extended battery charger for android devices it charge if full and u can't unplug it just shut down . this is good for us the user .:eek::D:p:thumbup:
 
Well, that battery tender stopped working. Turns out that brand was like recalled as tons of ppl complained about it. I got my $10 refund back, and bought the Battery Tender Jr by Deltan. MOST POPULAR MOST RECOMMENDED TENDER.

I also bought a Pit Bull Rear Stand, Pit Bull Spools, and OH YEA!


I got my LOWER WHITE FAIRINGS, and I INSTALLED THEM.

I believe i still have my Battery Tender and my disc lock for the front wheel and all of my riding gear :D
